Bassist/Vocalist Geoff MacAdie is responsible for writing the NewSuburbans’ music, and blames his rather twisted unconventional sense of humor on his uncle, Bill Gaines (of Mad Magazine and EC Comics fame). Among the many EC titles gaines published, Tales from the Crypt remains a favorite, and macabre themes abound in Geoff’s lyrics.
The new record will feature themes such as cannibalism, alcohol abuse, insurance fraud, sport fighting, from his more sensitive side…
Geoff lives in New Hampshire at the very outskirts of civilization, and commutes from his exo-burban home to downtown Boston, MA. He has a second home in South Carolina in which he plans to be entombed retire one day. Although South Carolina is the first place in the United States where tea was grown and is the only state to ever have produced tea commercially, Geoff has asked that he be buried with a tall glass of ethanol Glenlivet in his hand.
